The Viking field hockey team captured the Huron-Perth Championship yesterday with a dramatic 1-0 win over South Huron.  After a 0-0 first half, Brynn Lewis set up Keera Lewis on a penalty corner for the winning goal.  The Vikings defence of Kayla McCabe and Lauren Doherty then shut the door with some big saves from Savannah Freeman.  Kendra Menchenton and Kailee Hewitt had their best games as Vikings helping to seal the victory.  Congrats to all of the Vikes for their tremendous effort.  The Vikings advance directly to the WOSSAA gold match at 1 p.m. Thursday in London against St. Thomas Parkside.  The Vikings would like to thank the fans and administration for their support and Mr. Worsell for getting the field ready on such short notice.
